Young Life, No Kids & Bed Rest

I'm sure everyone is wondering what's happening with me and Courtney, as well as Young Life. We're doing really good. Thanks so much for your dishes of food, for coming over to say hi, and for your prayers. November 16th was my last day at the church. It has been tough for me, now that I'm a civilian. But I so appreciate the time that I've had at the church in staff ministry. Courtney and I believe that YL is God's new direction for our lives. He's opened the doors. We've stepped through in faith. And he's providing.

So, I wanted to let y'all know what's happening with Young Life (and maybe some things in Personal Life as well).
  1. Last week I was invited to attend a Young Life Fundraiser banquet for Blue Valley (it was really awesome). I also attended a leadership training held at Colonial Presbyterian Church.
  2. This week Courtney and I had some time to catch up. The kids went to Iowa with the grandparents. Courtney and I went on a couple of dates. We held hands. Watched some movies together. Fell asleep watching some movies together. Dreamed about the future. Prayed together. It was exactly what we needed. Courtney is a beautiful woman and I love her. We're 1 week away from no more worries about "bed-rest"!
  3. I put together this website yesterday for people who are interested in keeping up with where we're at with Young Life.
  4. Courtney and I are finding people to commit to pray over our ministry daily.
  5. Spent some time pouring over a YL plan for our area, hashing through the YL website for ideas & spending time in prayer for clarity on God's leading.

If you've got 4 minutes, take a look at what YL camp is all about.

Thanks for stopping by friends,

Ryan
