Wow! What a few days!

The baby is here, she is so healthy and beautiful.  I just want to snuggle with her all the time!  We’ve posted quite a few pics (and even a little video) on Facebook to share with everyone.  We’re taking visitors today if you’d like to get a little snuggle time in yourself.  Thanks so much for your prayers.  This pregnancy has been a beautiful one with no complications.  Courtney will be recovering from her C-Section, but that was to be expected.  The meds, however, treating her pretty nice.

Lincoln & Claire LOVE the new baby.  Lincoln got so excited when he first her that he gave her a big hug and a head butt.  Claire just wanted Kate to sit on her lap so she could hold, and pat, and talk to her beautiful little sister.

Lincoln and I are pretty upset that the man-factor in the house has just been upset by the 3girls:2boys ratio, but he and I will just have to deal for now.   I’ve already been asked, “So how many more kids are you having?”  J  I actually still can’t believe that we’re a family of 5!  I grew UP in a family of 5, and so in a way it feels like we’re all grown up.  Lol.  So are we done?  Um… For a while I guess.  :D

Other stuff:

Courtney and I have decided to move to a different house in Paola!  The timing is seems ‘perfect’, I know.  Change jobs, add baby, change house.  But it’s a good move for us that is already beginning to take a lot of “stuff” off our plate so we can more fully focus on Young Life.

Young Life:

I interview today with the Kansas-Missouri Young Life regional directors.  This is my second sit-down with these people, but this meeting will really guide how (or ‘if’ even!) Young Life wants to officially bring me into the YL family.  I’m going into this interview confident that God has prepared me and called me to this place and that he’ll use opportunities (such as this interview) for me to share this calling with others.

Should you give financially yet?  Not yet.  Hold back.  But freely pray.  We’re still taking deliberate steps our area officially recognized by YL so that our donors can begin funding our area.  Plus, we’re going need some more training on how to setup and manage the finances of our area.  YL has laid this out expertly, calling for gifted individuals in the committee to lead this ministry.  Additionally, YL has national staff who is an available resource to help committees really get this going well.  So right now please spend time in prayer for us, Paola’s youth, and YL’s partnership to reach kids.

Thanks Jesus for our new family!

Ryan
